Hi everyone. Today I am going to talk about one of my favorite dragon riders that has his own story right now. If you haven't read "Bonds of Betrayal," you should. This is the heart breaking story on how Shogun walks into the world as a Monk. He believes it will help his soul heal but in the end the only way for him to heal completely is to face the one that took everything from him and filled him with the sense for revenge.

M is for Monk Shogun
When you come into the novels I am writing you find Shogun is a Monk that hides out on the plains in the mountains as a hermit. He doesn’t like people that much, but believes he will be forgiven for his failures in life if he serves those that are less fortunate when he sees them.
SwordMaster Roülle puts a damper on his life inside the plains when he shows up on his doorstep offering Shogun the one thing his heart desires, and that is revenge.
Now Shogun isn’t the perfect faithful servant of the goddess Bright Star. He knows his shortcomings and always confesses his hatred of one man that destroyed his life forever. You will find out who that man is inside the story, “Bonds of Betrayal.” This is the 8th story installment in the Tales of Ferrês short story series I wrote back in 2018 to 2020. You get to see him before the world turned its back on him and his dragon. Also, you get to witness the heart breaking moment he has to say goodbye to his dragon forever. That leads him down the path to his journey right now.
Revenge has a tendency to destroy people from the inside out. But will Shogun be able to walk in the world that betrayed him and not strike out at the innocent? Or will he stand true to his values he has now? Will he overcome the need for revenge and the need to die a warrior’s death to come out of the darkness into the light?
You will find out a bit of his story in the “Bonds of Betrayal.” I plan to shape him more in the novels to come. So hold on to your seats for more books to come.
