Hi everyone. Today I am going to do a list of Kings that made up the history of Tarza for the last 500 hundred years. Now, throughout the time, magic was used to sustain the lives of several kings and there is a key element to why they are immortal.

Rodrick Flares - He was the first King of Tarza. Actually, he was the emperor over the Dragon Empire when it stood tall. Rodrick was the chosen man for Queen Karigan. She ruled over Zorron the land of dragons. And when they married they fuzed their lands together. But because of dragon riders being Karigan’s army they comprised warriors from the other kingdoms as well. That then allowed them to unite all the kingdoms under the Empire itself. But when Karigan died the union ended, and the Empire fell into ruin. This led the dragons and their riders to go into exile. The elves closed their borders, and the dwarves retreated into their mountains. The Forest of Ferrês destroyed any that entered, making it a mystery kingdom of itself.
Christophé Flares - He is the son of Queen Karigan and King Rodrick. Christophé also ruled over the land of Tarza but did so for hundreds of years. Many knew he had magic that kept him young, but they didn’t realize it was because he was a rider like his mother. This then led to the belief that only dragon riders could sit the throne, but they hid that from the people because of the way they overthrew them at the end of the Empire’s reign.
Christophé is the father to Rachel, Tyler, Melonie and Daniel. He is married to Queen Roseanne and lives inside the kingdom of Elërya the city of mages when we enter the novels as I write them.

King Tyler Flares - He is the current king for Tarza right now. Tyler is married to Queen Sarah that passes at a young age when Kero is but only 11. The two older boys, Raymond and Joey were in their teens when she passed. And Prince Billy was only a young lad at her passing. King Tyler does his best raising his kids but finds that duty keeps him away often. This then leads to turmoil amongst the kids.
He never remarries and keeps his friends close. But feels shackled to his role as king and finds that the noblemen hold more power than he does. This is rectified in the novels when Kero takes matters into her own hands.
I hope you enjoyed this little snippet into the history of Tarza, and how I lined things up. Seems weird that only three kings reigned for 500 years. But magic has a way of changing things in people to make them live longer. The question that will remain though is if the power will be present when the time comes it is needed when they spent so much time suppressing it.
