X is for Xenia —The Other Human Kingdom

Hi everyone. Today I am doing letter "X" in the A to Z April Blogging Challenge. My topic today is about the other human kingdom that resides across the southern border of Tarzinëa. It is right on the edge of the Mountains of Zorric. Thought I would do a little history break down and insight into the land itself.

X is for Xenia

The Other Human Kingdom

There are two human kingdoms inside the borders of Tarzinëa. The first you already learned about and hear about a lot already, and that is Tarza. Xenia is the other human kingdom that stands against the Flares Dynasty and doesn’t believe in the same things as the Tarzaen people do.

Xenia has been on its own for a long time. It broke off from Tarza about 400 years ago when a lord got too much following over the king. The people chose to not stay under Tarza’s king reign. That is why they picked their own king and created their own barriers along the southern border of Tarzinëa. The only problem is they have a lot of orcs, goblins, and shadow wrath attacks because of being on the borderlands of the Mountains of Zorric.

King Jon rules over Xenia and hasn’t taken a queen. He has no children of his own and is quiet bitter towards King Tyler and his flourishing kingdom. They stand on peaceful tidings until King Jon takes Marthred the Black on as an advisor. Things change then and war breaks out. Many believe that Marthred is using black magic to control the king to make him alley with the Mountains of Zorric and bring in an enemy that many have feared since the fall of the empire.

Why does King Jon hate King Tyler so much? Well, it comes back to Queen Sarah. She was a common born woman off the streets and King Tyler fell in love with her at first sight. But so did King Jon. He tried to win her away from King Tyler but that only created a bigger rift between the two kings. This led to hostility between the two and making King Jon turn his back on his treaty with King Tyler.

I plan to write a book in the Tales of Tarza series about how the King and Queen meet and fall in love. There you will see the unraveling of the two kings friendship.
