U is for United They Fall
The Fall of an Empire
500 hundred years ago, existed the wilder realms. Humans were in disorder and were led by warlords, noblemen, and landowners. While the elven kingdom of Vladimir flourished with its magic and skill in crafting metal work and magical pieces of art. The Mountains of Tõrrin dug deeper into the earth with the help of the dwarves and the races that lived deep in the mountain caverns.
Each kingdom held its own strength, power, wealth, and influence across the land. But they didn’t stand in unity. Then The Mountains of Zorron came and the kingdom of dragons was born. Dragon riders entered the world after the great dragon war where the dragons became one with their chosen rider. Many believed the riders were beings blessed by the gods to protect mankind and bring them together.
In time Tarza formed amongst the human realm and became a kingdom of its own with a sitting king named Rodrik Flares. He later married the queen rider Karigan, that was bonded to Silvashi the dragon king. They united the two kingdoms through marriage. But with the dragons growing in strength and choosing riders from all kingdoms except the dwarves they have united them all under one banner. This led to the creation of the Dragon Empire.
The Empire flourished for seven years until an enemy kingdom united with the Mountains of Zorric, the mountains of doom. This led to a war that ended with Queen Karigan’s death and a betrayal by one of her close friends. The Empire fell into ruin after her death, blaming the riders for her fall on the battlefield. They were cast out of every kingdom and turned their back on the human realm and choose exile inside the Mountains of Zorron. This then lead to the dark ages of the human realm without their protectors. The elven kingdom closed off their borders and refused aid to the humans, as did the dwarves. The Forest of Ferrês disappeared from the world with myth of it appearing only when heroes are summoned by the gods that rule over it.
Now it has been 500 years since this war unfolded, since the death of the first warrior queen of Tarza. And the kingdom of Tarza stands in contempt of its greatness that it once was. Now noblemen hold politics to the point they hold peoples lives hostage and refuse to aid the king in his endeavors that could help his people. A new hero will rise to riot in the street and turn the people away from their king. This hero will walk among them without a care in the world as long as the people are defended and taken care of. The noblemen will quack in fear of this hero and hope his wrath doesn’t fall on them. And as time goes on the question will rise. When the queen died the empire fell, but if this hero dies will they rise above his fallen ashes or will they fall into ruin as well?
I hope this gets you excited to read the novels when I write them. Right now I am working on side series that helps shape the world as you know it. But I hope you will carry on with me on this adventure into the novels when I write them. I might do shorter ones, but not sure. I have a hard time with longer works of fiction and might need your input on that idea. Thank you for reading :).
