K.M. Jenkins: A Little on Edge—Pet Peeves that Drive her Crazy!

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful Friday. Right now the weather is going between 35 degrees and 45 degrees here in Sioux City, Iowa. I’m stuck between wearing summer clothes and winter clothes. The boys can’t get it through their heads that they need to wear pants to school. In the morning, I take them to school in pants and Zeek always comes running out in shorts. It is a work in progress.

Now onto the post for today. I thought I would let you all know what some of my pet peeves are in life. There aren’t that many that bother me but I thought I would break it down into categories.

Driving Crazy Graphic

Books:

  1. Covers that don’t go with the story.

  2. Formatting errors in the book's body.

  3. I would have to say not using the correct spelling for the main character. I’ve seen this done several times in books. Usually, I let it slide if I really am into the book but if I’m not it ruins the experience.

Kids:

  1. I can’t stand when my boys say “I hate you” or “your not the boss of me.” Yeah, they are getting mouthy already at seven years old.

  2. Clothes all over my living room. They think they can change in my living room and never pick up any of their things. When they get home from school they get a rude awakening when I make them pick everything up.

  3. Cowboy boots. My boys have a thing for putting their cowboy boots on and then throwing them all over the living room. They put them in the line of our walking path so we are tripping over them. Drives me nuts every time.

Work:

  1. Work from Home Pet Peeves Graphic

I can’t stand doing anything without a list of some kind to work of off. If I don’t I get confused and miss things.

  2. Clutter. I am okay with dust on my desk but my boys have a tendency to lay all their papers from school over my desk. Then I can’t find everything I need when I need it because their stuff is always in the way.

  3. Stealing my stuff. The boys have a thing for stealing all my pens out of my pencil holder. Whenever I need to do something they are gone and I have to send the boys on the hunt for them throughout the apartment.

Those are some of my pet peeves in life, as I know it right now. There probably is more but those are what comes to mind right now. What are some of your pet peeves? Do you have things in certain parts of your life that drive you crazy that don’t in other parts?
