Black Friday Shopper — Yay or Nay?

Hi everyone. Today I wanted to chat with you all about the wonderful day of the year called Black Friday. Businesses all around the United States put everything on sale this day and weekend. Thousands of people go shopping on this day in the United States, but I am not one of them.

Yes, I have taken part in Black Friday shopping back before Covid happened. After Covid hit my health took a turn for the worst and I have a hard time walking far distances because of pain in my lower back. It gets so bad it paralyzes my legs and makes me almost fall over.

This doesn’t mean I don’t shop online. I do. I love buying books from authors on Small Business, Saturday throughout Cyber Monday and the month of December. Do I usually put my books on sale, no not really. I don’t get a lot of sales on my books throughout the holiday season unless it is a box set that is going strong.

What are your views on buying things for others on Black Friday? Do you buy things for yourself or your business? I know several designers that do big cover events for premade covers and other materials for authors to purchase.

I do my best to help those in the indie community this time of year by buying books for myself. This mainly is because my boys are too young to read the authors I support and Ben doesn’t read. He does like ninja turtle comic books, so if you see something please let me know.

Since I am an author and running a business too, I will include the list of my books below with the links to purchase from retailers or my store. Nothing is on sale except discounts you can receive through my author store. You can get a lot of my books cheap through my store and even get signed paperbacks. Right now Gargoyle Sighted and The Seeker’s Core are only available in my author store in print format.
